I had a funny incident on a UA flight from SIN this morning. As I always do at breakfast service, I asked for three cups of coffee with milk. The FA declined to do it for “safety reasons.” I don’t know what those reasons could be, other than suicide by drowning. Tepid coffee doesn’t pose much of a hazard.

Maybe expecting near term heavy turbulence and that you might not be able to make it to the toilet? I have no clue what safety reason you might have triggered outside of the FA having to possibly make another pot of coffee.
