Depends on the time of day, if your inbound flight is on time, and what terminal & airline you are connecting from/to. If it is on one ticket and you have onward boarding pass, this is doable as long as you are not arriving at peak arrival times for international flights (Global Entry is not so much the problem, it is waiting for your bag - which can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes). You will also have to re clear security (Global Entry speeds things up). Personally I would not do it for any less connection time than 2 hours at EWR, but this is my risk tolerance.
Hmm thanks. My options are that or a 6 hour layover. I'm flying LIS-EWR-STL next January. I'm leaning towards the short one and hoping for the best, and I know the winter adds extra risk, but if anything, I think EWR-STL is more likely to be delayed than LIS-EWR. Who knows, there could be a schedule change in my favor between now and then that gives me some extra breathing room (or cuts it even shorter!)
