Agree - The QF cancellation method is shocking at best, disingenuous at worse, where it provides zero information, and refers the public back to read fare rules. I cannot think of another airline that is so deliberately opaque (maybe Air Koyru perhaps - but to be fair I have not flown with them..), and Australians are just now beginning to get they have been taken for a long ride....
Thank you!! Glad someone else agrees, and yes I remember it saying something about looking at the fare rules, which I couldn't even locate on my confirmation email PDF. The entire lack of information made me believe I that must be getting the 24 hour full refund, since why else would they not tell me what my refund was. Perhaps they mail paper tickets with the fare rules in them in 6-8weeks.
And I bet I am not the only American that made a mistake regarding their - 24 hour cancel for any reason policy - (except the 9 reasons listed in the terms further down the webpage!).
