Have you seen that the butter dish does not slide down the plate on which it is delivered - even when you tilt it 80 degrees from the horizontal? (Just an estimate, do your own experiement :-) ). It seems that the little dish has an invisible silicon ring and/or they are applying some nonslip fluid. Very clever engineering.
It's not just the butter dish. Check others, like the coffee/tea mug, and you'll find the same ring on the bottom. Years ago this was also done in CX F. May still be, but I don't fly CX F any more. I don't think that it's worth it, food has gone way downhill, started this slide even before COVID.
