Sticky dish; and getting the tiny details right

I am becoming a real fan of business class QR. So many fine details that they get right.

Last night I spotted another tiny detail. Have you seen that the butter dish does not slide down the plate on which it is delivered - even when you tilt it 80 degrees from the horizontal? (Just an estimate, do your own experiement :-) ).

It seems that the little dish has an invisible silicon ring and/or they are applying some nonslip fluid. Very clever engineering.

On the Eurostar (London to Paris) they used to achieve something similar in the least elegant way possible: their desserts were all constructed to have something gluey on the bottom, so they were stuck to the plate. QR’s solution is a million times more elegant!
