Come now sir, you do not sit in the back of an aircraft. You are the epitome of the FF who knows how to book the best airfare and how to redeem miles for a seat.
I do agree with you as it is unlikely. AC can't (or won't) consistently enforce the carry on rules now, so it is unlikely it would do anything that would require enforcing additional restrictions.
