Can anyone explain what is so special about FLY such that some outstations (like CGN, DBV or SPU) have never been on it? Does it require any specific hardware that those airports just can’t provide? Or is it just down to saving costs?
Really annoying for pax to not be able to OLCI/get a mobile BP…
DBV and SPU have a special system which is airport wide, so retrofitting one system for one small airline isn't sensible. CGN I don't know for sure, but I was under the impression that the initial service there - many years ago now - was a bit of easy-come, easy-go trial so they weren't going to go to the effort of training everyone in FLY. But it may be they too have an airport backbone system.
