After receiving the email I was thinking about European low cost airlines that charge for trips to the washroom etc, and I avoid these airlines like the plague. I think in Europe they are also looking into legislation to reduce this price gouging. While hopefully it will help with the excess on board items that so many people are hauling, my concern is that selling ultra at price of basic will inevitably lead to higher fares in the classes above ultra.
