Strange, because I'm not laughing...

Though it certainly appears that way.

Of course it's hyperbole! Do you think any rational person interprets that expression literally?

If I gave 100% of my premium business to AA, it would double the amount of earnings they'd get from me. Pretty simple math, really.

We all appreciate the sentiment, but there's no need for salutations on this forum; this isn't a business email.
Honestly, kind of difficult to take much of what you say seriously at all based on this response and I'm not sure who the "we" you speak for is.

Furthermore, you clearly didn't even understand the point re: "earnings tell the story." Bottom line you tried to support your thesis by saying "earnings tell the story" as if that is all that matters. If that is the case then why don't you give all your premium business to DL? After all, if they are clearly superior and "earnings tell the story" then why would you give any (let alone a full 50%) of your business to the company with the worst earnings in the industry? Now, I'm sure you'll start with the "I'm a hub captive, non-stop flights, etc" which is fine, makes complete sense. But that also means, literally ipso facto, that earnings in fact don't tell the whole story when it comes to customer choice. Customers are not always driven by the same things that investors are driven by

You seem to imply I have an extreme point of view or something and you are certainly welcome to that opinion. But at the end of the day I've basically said they all mediocre (at best). That hardly seems an extreme viewpoint around here. You seem to be the one with a more lopsided point of view. It's just disingenuous to imply that DL doesn't have any cons, problems, or challenges. Yes, they have the superior earnings, yea, great. All that means in this industry is they are king of the idiots, the best of a bad bunch. Certainly nothing to "walk over glass" for.

Pretty hilarious to be accused of being an AApoloogist by someone that knows zero about my travel habits and whose own username is literally, "AADFW"

Finally, in the spirit of bringing the thread back on topic (which is about Vasu's departure from, not about whether DL is "better"), my assertion, simply stated, is that Vasu's firing will change very little about the trajectory that AA is on, without other, more substantial (and systemic) changes. Sounds like you would maybe at least agree with that, so perhaps we at least agree on something...

Regards
