I always drive through EZ Pass lanes during all my National rentals, the toll cost will be charged weeks after as a separate bill if I am not wrong. Also it will only charge the convenience fee for days you actually used it. Some branches may ask you if you would like an EZ Pass transponder, which will also cost ~$5 per day even if it is not triggered.
