For leisure purposes it is quite an uninteresting city as well.
I've been a regular on this route since the 1990s, and certainly my own business flights to BRU have reduced significantly since 31 January 2020. My last trip was a few weeks ago (when I had the pleasure of meeting Lefly ) and the business traffic had clearly reduced on that service, replaced by leisure travellers. It's not helped that the Schengen entry in BRU is even more painful than AMS, so hopefully once EES is up and running it will get a lot easier for regular and occasional travellers alike. Friends and family travel isn't deterred by these factors. I would very much disagree with the final sentence, it's one of the more interesting places to visit in terms of museums, sights and in particular gastronomy. And very easy to get around too.
