Not sure about the "NEXT" configuration but just flew my first F on a Max 9 KOA to SFO and was very unimpressed the seats. I was in 2B and normally don't like the bulkhead in F but I think that may have been better. Leg room and recline seemed limited compared with other carriers F product and for sure the seat was uncomfortable. JMHO. It was a CPU, my first of the year, so I can't complain too much but I almost wanted my coach seat back after that flight.....
That route is running Max 9s in both configurations. For example on June 1, Flight 1724 operated on #7503, which is Slimline Sky. Flight 435 was on #7569, which is NEXT. Yesterday, Flight 1724 was on #7563, which is also NEXT. Was one of those yours?
