The chokepoint at most checkpoints I've been to is related to bag screening. Clear unfortunately isn't going to change that.
While I don't disagree, and add that actually the new automated machines TSA is putting in makes this much worse, as they are substantially slower than the older manual machines, TDC is often a chokepoint as well. If CLEAR or digital ID can alleviate that, either by reducing number of people or speeding up the process, I'm in favor of that.
