Was on SQ719 a few days ago and it does feel like a knee-jerk reaction in typical Singaporean fashion. The most comical service in Business Class where meal service wasn't completed and the crew just had to return to their stations about 4 times during the flight. They didn't look happy and neither were the passengers. A little bit of turbulence during a 2 hour flight and a lot of frustration. I don't see how this is sustainable, I'm pretty sure meals were served in the TG flights before and after us. I've submitted a compensation request as meal service is advertised as part of the ticket.
