I’m flying from Los Angeles to Paris in August.I'm currently booked in business on a Delta flight operated by Air France. It's their 777-300ER aircraft. DL8549. It's the older layout with one row in La Premiere class and then Business Class from rows 3-20 which is split into a smaller front cabin and a larger one behind it. The smaller forward cabin is full and I couldn’t get bulkhead in the second cabin business class so I’m in seat 10A.

But, for the same price, I could also get there by doing a short trip from LAX to Seattle in First and then getting on Delta's A330-900NEO with the Delta One Suites which I do like since I’m 6’5 and the bulkhead on those has a much bigger foot cubby. DL2606 LAX-SEA and then DL80 SEA-CDG.

Connecting through Seattle would make my trip longer by 2.5 hours, but I would arrive at a more convenient time.

I've flown in Delta One Suites, but never business in the older Air France 777 layout. Has anyone flown both of these aircraft's in business? Are the newer Delta One Suites much nicer than the older AF business class seats? Or is the difference not worth the change? Are the Delta suites more spacious? I don’t care about the food, lounge, entertainment or service. I just care about comfort quality and the ability to sleep since it’s an 11+ hour flight and I’m 6’4.

Thanks so much! Great to be here
Welcome to Flyertalk, RocksteadyVibe I prefer the older AF Business Class Seats. I find that the seats are more comfortable for sleeping. Try to reserve your seat in the small forward cabin.
