Thanks I guess?

Losing Narita is probably the real issue here as even that was quoted by one of the FA's when I asked why getting to Asia on DL is so annoying.
When did DL lose NRT and why? Are they getting it back?

The only option when going to Asia from the west coast remains ICN. I appreciate the responses I got here, but some of them are a little out of whack. I didn’t expect to be wined and dined like royalty. Not sure why that kind of Reddit snark was aimed at me. I just expect that for a 12 hour flight, to have access to food. We took off at 12:30pm and landed at about 4:30pm in Seoul—this was 12 hours: not 11. If I should “load up” in the lounge before taking a long intl flight on DL again in the future, I can certainly do that. I just don’t see that convincing the oh-so-charming staff to bump my dinner out a few hours when they seem to want to rush that first service out and then disappear.

all in all, I appreciate what service we did get. However, I think Delta needs to seriously bump up the food options in flights that are longer than eight hours and ensure that there’s plenty of access to snacks and other small meals that people can get on their own if they get hungry when the FAs are not available. I'm a fairly active guy and no matter how much food I have, I'm usually pretty much ready for more every 4-5 hours like clockwork. Not starving half-way through and not being expected to take a sleep in the middle of the day doesn't seem to be that unrealistic.
