  • I've been denied an upgrade despite their being availability. FDA said "no we can't accommodate any changes".
  • At one "flagship" Hiltons (major city centers, $400+/night), I've been told no complementary upgrades, paid upgrades only. Upgrades ranged from $15-$200/night.
  • 19 other stays have had no upgrades. Many of my stays are at mid-tier properties that aren't typically part of the upgrade benefits, but I include them in my stats because I've been upgraded at these brands in the past.
  • I have yet to have a FDA recognize LTD status by name which leads me to believe it's not visible to them.
This mirrors my experience in the two or three years I have been LTD.

Except, I have never been automatically upgraded before check in. Never.
