We have already booked the outbound flight and are waiting for the inbound flight to become available.

90k avios plus £450 for the 2 of us outbound which was booked using the voucher.

The flights are likely to go quite quickly, so I will nab the inbound at full whack and phone up later to apply the voucher for the inbound.

the problem is, we are just short of the 180k avios needed for the inbound at full avios price so may need to do another pricing option - 152k avios plus £640

I am hoping that using different combinations of avios and £ on each leg is not a problem when applying the voucher to the inbound.

I am therefore expecting we can get 76k avios back when the flights get combined (half of 152k).

Is my thinking about right?
