Reality is on CE the large AA F Domestic seats are simply not going to happen. Demand in CE is quite variable and BA wants to capitalise on that and so the flexibility to change the cabin size based on will mean this will never happen.
There's no requirement for all planes to have the same config. Sure, it makes operations a bit more complex but it's not impossible - it works on longhaul after all.
I don't consider this a major problem. The real issue is that not enough people would pay extra for it because there's hardly any benefit in having that huge chair. And it could even lead to a loss of revenue as many people who pay for CE today wouldn't do so if the price inflated significantly. Unless of course there would be a three-class product.
