That is the key number right there--1 hour and 10 minutes to get from landing, off the plane (will be in the front of the plane) through passport control, collecting bags, through customs to land side, and then to the Iberia Counter to check the bags (55 minutes before departure of the flight, as you say that's when it closes).

In a best-case scenario (front of lines, bags out quick, transit train being there when you need it etc), I think it's just about possible. It would be way below the necessary time for my risk tolerance, for sure. Check-in for the RAK flight will close 55 mins before departure (*in theory), so you have 1:10 from scheduled time of arrival to make it out and to the check-in desk.
