Many local companies have negotiated rates with these hotels. The company I was working for had deals with both. The strange thing was, the published rate at the Doubletree was the same as the negotiated rate. The HGI was cheaper, $99/night, I believe.

I liked the HGI best. I suggest you call the hotel, tell them who you're working for, and ask if they can offer a better rate.
