I admit I’m not familiar with Ibis Budget and hotelF1, or with Accor in general outside of Fairmont. But I will say that Accor, in my mind, has always been a more
dilute entity than Hilton. Growing up in USA, I always associated Accor with Motel 6 and later also Red Roof Inn... ie, kind of like what Wyndham is now. Fairmont and, I guess CP Hotels, were completely separate brands in utterly different category that had their own solidified history until only recently being acquired by Accor. Fairmont in my mind continues to have its own identity.
