I picked up a few cans of Weinerschnizel chili in San Diego and forgot about the fact that they couldn't be taken in my carry on like I had planned so I decided why not check two cans of chili...lol. The AA agent decided it would be better to put the two cans in a box she had instead of checking the individual cans. My connecting flight from SEA-PDX was on a separate reservation so she could only check them to SEA. I put my home address on the box and wished it luck because I had zero intention of re-checking them in SEA. The cans of chili ended up on my doorstep a few days later...lol. The moral of the story is that if you're bags have a clearly written correct address on them and you're headed home, there is a good chance they'll end up on your doorstep if your flight is delayed and you don't have time to re-check them....the AS baggage service agents are THAT good!
