J is not absent it is just less common than before. Most of the availability to partners is to/from JFK, but I booked rt j out of sfo for end of schedule last week. Just scrape BA's award search and confirm it on Qantas and you'll find dates that AS can book. A quick check shows 3/31, 4/7, 4/14 as available to SFO and there's a couple dozen dates to jfk, all in 2025. Times have changed but it's not as bad as everyone has made it out to be. The biggest loss in no close in to partners.
