Can recommend the Oakington Belle pub by the entrance to the hotel, ( it’s a 7 minute walk ) I was going to have the kebab but decided on the steak with Bermesse sauce / sweet potato fries , it was delicious …..did look at the hotel restaurant menu before we walked across and it didn’t look inspiring yet expensive.
On returning we had a nightcap of one beer and a gin and tonic, gave the drinks voucher not sure if it was for one or two but not questioned.
Now just back in room, this seems a quiet part of the hotel ( top floor / overlooking the tennis courts ) , glad I choose this.
In the morning I will hit the gym before breakfast….. of course I will report back!
Forgot to mention - I just fired up the air conditioning….it appears to work well……oh and the shower is awesome according to my lady.
