I really don't see any benefit in having a huge chair on a shorthaul flight. I'm currently paying for CE on virtually all of my LON trips (which means not only paying extra on top of the Y fare but also choosing BA in the first place). If they were to hike their prices for a fancy seat I don't need or want, they would almost certainly lose my business.
Perhaps BA could have a few narrowbodies with "CW Lite" for mediumhaul routes, as those are the ones where big seat might make sense and people may be willing to pay for it.
