This merge really sucks! I do not see any advantage to book through Marriott. In Vegas you have so many options. Someone must be stupid to book through Marriott and pay much more.
A lot of the current benefits are set to expire at the end of the year so hopefully they will reevaluate the partnership and modify benefits to be a little more favorable to Marriott customers.
