This is a recurring warning for the newcomers to FT. Given the storm situation, many people might want to know the status of the flight they're booked on (FLIFO). WARNING: DO NOT USE AA.COM for this purpose, but call AA directly.

AA.com has a long history of giving out incorrect and or/incomplete information, with negative consequences on fliers. This topic has been discussed various times over the last TWO years on FT, but AA still hasn't done anything to fix the situation (any journalist here who wants to write a piece on how airlines fare in communicating with their customers when the weather goes bad?)
