Just for what it's worth .... I've been to a good few IC soft openings the last 10-15 years. Some chosen, some invited to road test. They can work very well and quite poorly and sometimes both.

The very nature of soft opening means there's a lot of folks learning, still being taken on. It means the facilities are not road tested to the max and often require .... errr .... patience. Mind it also means the spirit of wanting to please and make early doors customers happy is very high. And this can be a lot of fun for the 'right' customer who is happy to bend and flex with that.

I had a soft opening at an IC in the ME two years back were there was no champagne in the club lounge and no steak in the steak house! Unbelievable. But once you'd gotten over that head scratch, the upgrades, the service, attention and fun had during that same stay were superb.

But if it's an important event, your only holiday of the year or you are the sort of person who will become tightly wound by sub par but enthusiastic service, then I'd seriously deffer your stay till August or even September.

We have dates here in August. I get the impression it will not be at the upper end of the scale soft opening wise during June. I think 8 weeks and a few air miles on the clock will be needed at this one. That said, email support I've got has been excellent to date.
