So, we're inevitably stuck with the hard product and it comes down to the rest of the experience. In my opinion BA do the job well on most routes on most days, and I always look forward to my CE trips.
I wonder if they could do 2-3 seating with the WTP seats (which are narrower than typical US domestic first class seats) in the Airbuses. The extra seat per row probably makes up for the increased pitch, but of course they lose the operational flexibility. That said, they can still yield manage the cabin, it's actually "easier" to do when fares are the only variable, vs. fares and capacity.
