Just a datapoint, as Marriott Plat, staying at MGM Signature last week, we received no upgrade, a very mediocre room assignment, and they would only extend check-out 1 hour (to noon). This was a last minute booking so didn't really research at all and had low expectations going in. I'll add that I liked not having to walk through a casino to get to our room and that our room was nice and quiet. Otherwise didn't much care for the place. Room was unimpressive, bed was lumpy, and sheets were scratchy.
