Yeah, I saw that, but I'm assuming it applies to those holding a Schengen-not-Swiss residency permit. My logic is thus: with a Swiss residency permit one can fly into Switzerland and never leave ever again. There are no "never expire" UK passports.
switzerland has been a member of schengen since 2008. Your swiss residency is just as much a schengen residency permit as my polish residency is.
I am in the same boat come november. 10 years up on my passport but valid till next summer
I plan to renew early.
Lets say you get to check in and you are flying to france or germany rather than directly to switzerland. Many idb claims will not make up for the inconvenience.
