With Vasu now out, I wonder if AA is really going to go ahead with this.
Gutting their corporate sales team and pushing everyone to book direct were big Vasu initiatives… and AA has already acknowledged they’ve missed out on some of the managed travel rebound that has been benefiting DL and UA.
Been pulled already. NDC is still in the works (good bye 1960s), but the hard date is no longer there.

Having never carried an AA card before, I got one a few months ago. It's useful for the AA business "double dip". That said, other travel goes on my Sapphire Reserve or Ink Business or Amex Plat for non-AA airfare and FHR hotels.
