Two class airline

The bulk of my flying is LAX-BOS, and this is a tough route because the planes are almost always full, in both coach and F. It is very difficult to upgrade unless you pay full fare or are EXP.

I just think that the back of the plane is getting less and less comfortable, and losing what few frills there were. LRTC and no free meals are the two most recent manifestations. I have never flown JetBlue, but many readers of this forum say their planes are much more comfortable than AA's coach class.

My comments stand. AA used to be an "upscale" airline, with a reputation as the most professional and comfortable in the sky. But today, it seems they are "upscale" for those who can afford F or who are upgraded to F, and "no frills" to those who fly coach. Faster check-in is nice, but I'd rather have more knee-room.
