Airport staff will have more experience with this type of issue than a call center agent so perhaps she can go to the airport now and ask them how to handle?
Thanks. I emailed Avianca and they say they can't change the name on the ticket. Of course my fera is that if you ask airport staff in advance, they will probably just recommend you re-issue the ticket. If we show up and she has a Cambodian passport in the ticket name and a US passport, maybe they let her fly. Or not.
