Well they don't even need to codeshare to do that. Not sure if it's still the case, but you used to be able to buy VS tickets with the VS segment to LHR connecting to BA to the continent, all on prime flight numbers. But maybe B6 doesn't have the capability to sell an interline segment without a B6 code on their website. (Can't remember if my VS-BA flight was purchased through VS or an OTA.)
