Mlin, good to know. This flight route I am looking at is from IAD to LBA. I hoping that I can find consistency in a one stop option for that route. From what I have seen in looking at earlier dates, it looks like that is a possibility in the spring. I would like to book (a bit earlier than most I guess) to be able to get three seats together. I am not going to be booking premium economy, though, so maybe it doesn’t matter all that much.
The intercontinental leg won't change much and the route has been served by the A330 for many many years, departing around 17h30 from gate A15 or A20. It's the AMS - LBA leg that may (and likely will) have schedules altered between now and 9 months down the road.
