Despite all the click-bait speculation, I suspect this has much less to do with BA wanting feed at JFK/BOS than B6 needing additional European destinations to help fill its own flights to LHR. BA may not really even care if they sell any seats on B6 domestic services. Since they're bothering to offer seats to B6 to sell, what's the harm of placing the BA code on a myriad of B6 flights? There may even be zero minimum purchase requirements and really nothing to lose on BA's part (but plenty to gain by opening another channel to support LHR short-haul sales).
