I tried the paid Japanese meal on Haneda Singapore here in May. As other special meals it is confirmed before take off and served initially in the service flow. I found the meal quite nice, and worth doing from time to time. But probably not going to do it every time.
Yup it is decent to be honest.
But the problem is that the main meal (Unagi and Beef) remains the same since this service is launched.
The only difference is the appetizers and the side dishes.
To be honest, was expecting it to change every 2/3 month cycle at least it would create returning customer keen to try diff item but it is not unfortunately.
At least SIN Catering looks much better than the one flying out of KUL
*I would be nice if we can have both paid meal AND regular economy class meal
