I have more of a problem that it’s not set up to handle all the guests and not allowing alternative breakfast due capacity issues than them limiting you to the breakfast benefit terms.
I would avoid these properties (resorts in general) during long holidays.
I guess technically there is a loophole. But - when I book via hyatt.com, a child is anyone under 18. To then say "oh but for benefits the age cutoff is arbitrary" is a joke. In hundreds of stays this just never happened to me. Yes, better to avoid this place.
