Everything comes from the same allocation
When I was looking at the upgrade options I do have enough points to transfer for an award ticket round trip. I think this would make more sense than buying an economy ticket then using points to upgrade to business class. It is 100,000 pints for business class roundtrip and if I purchase economy and use points it is 74,000 points.
It looks on my route BDL-DUB - DUB - BDLthat so far they are only offering the reward flight till Oct 26. 2024. I'll keep looking to see if each day it moves forward,
