I see people on a fairly regular basis demanding their loyalty benefits on 3rd party bookings and getting annoyed when they are denied.
Those free breakfasts, drinks vouchers etc need paying for some way.
This may make sense to us - however, the terms on the site are unequivocal. You are entitled to your benefits regardless of where you booked the stay - you just aren't entitled to the guarantee component. Unless there are some other TC's I am missing, this is a plain English interpretation of their terms.
