Almost exactly 1 year later from our prior stay, we recently just wrapped up another 4 night stay at the HR Lost Pines, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. Last year, we came with one other family (10 people total) and we had such a great time we had told several friends.... and this year, we ended up with a total of 18 people in our group (8 adults, 10 kids, ranging from 5 to 11 years old). Pretty wild as I was the "organizer" for all events & activities, food, and so on, but it was so fun and memories we'll always cherish.

Once again, the staff is so friendly and helpful. I did notice, similar to last year, a huge amount of "in training" staff, but it wasnt an issue for us. We stayed in literally the exact rooms as last year (2902 + 2904) which is a junior suite King + connecting 2 queen room, and again it was very well maintained and stocked. Plenty of space for our family of 5, and, like last year, became the kid hangout spot for all our group. I had used points for both our rooms and was upgraded to the junior suite.

As with our prior stay, Globalist recognition was excellent, unlimited free water bottles, free valet, breakfast, etc. I had gifted SUA or GoH awards to everyone in our party which they loved of course.

Renovation to the main hotel is done (there is some construction going on near the self-parking area, not sure what it will become), Maverick's was great, the Maude Bar was a cool hangout spot. Breakfast Buffet was solid each day. I do wish they had a larger menu at the pool complex, its surprisingly limited, but not a big deal. The adult highlight was Scratch Sushi (booked a month in advance for our party) which is hidden away within Scribes like a speakeasy. Perhaps the best Sushi I've ever had outside of Japan (and that is saying something as we're all from LA and there is no shortage of great sushi in LA). The presentation, experience, intimate setting, and actual food was PHENOMENAL. Pricey (esp when we paired with sake and whisky flights), but wow, worth it for sure.

Everything else from my prior 2023 review still applies and was great without exception. This year we also did BB Guns and Slingshots for the kids which they loved and now all want their own (ha, not happening).

The only question that remains is if we're coming back again 2025. I'm guessing yes.
