I was in the same flight.
I had a few service dropouts I suspect due to inactivity, but I was able to reconnect instantly, via going back to the Wi-Fi picker.
I will note, I'm on the Android beta builds, so this may have also been a cause of Wi-Fi issues, but I doubt it.
The speeds were impressive at least from a few sample speed tests.
