I don't think group #3 (award tickets) are eligible for free bags since the cardholder isn't on the same reservation.

What if a primary cardholder bought the ticket, but someone else is traveling.

US: An eligible primary cardholder, authorized user or co-applicant of the Card must be traveling to qualify for the first checked bag free benefit.
