Is the parking by the Amalfi lodging free? May be a shock if it isn't. Parking in Amalfi was not cheap if available at all 20+ years ago of-season (January-February). Doubt if it's improved. Be careful leaving Rome as wandering into a ZTL may end up costing you lots. Had a devil of a time getting from the Appian Way to the car rental return garage (tight turns up the ramp) by Termini a few years ago.
