I have some questions about utilizing the Free Checked Bag benefit provided by our Bank of America Alaska credit cards on an upcoming family group trip I'm putting together; it's a little complicated...
- My spouse and I each have the Alaska Visa card (Business cards, in case that matters, but I think it doesn't).
- We both have available companion certificates we will be using.
- There will be six of us traveling together (me, spouse, and four members of the extended family including 3 kids).
My spouse and I each plan to book (
paid) round-trip tickets for ourselves + one family member
using our companion certs (2+2=4 pax total).
Tickets will be paid for using our Alaska Visa cards, and the credit card holder will be on each companion pair.
I will also book two additional
award tickets,
paying for the tickets with Alaska miles, and
paying for FEES using my Alaska Visa. We will all be traveling together, but ticketed in 3 separate groups.
Tickets will be booked in pairs:
1. Credit card holder (me) and companion.
2. Credit card holder (spouse) and companion.
3. Two kids
on award tickets booked from my Mileage Plan account and fees paid with my Alaska credit card.
Will all six of us be entitled to a free checked bag (because we will be using the Alaska credit card) to pay for tickets (companion fares)
and using the credit card to pay for fees associated with the award tickets?
Thanks, and I hope the above make sense.
