Now let's go to breakfast. I got the feeling from the beginning that this hotel does not like to give the free Globalist breakfast because they say "you get $120 allowance for buffet" but it's $40 for an adult and $20 for kids under 12. So if your kids are 12 and over - then sorry, you have to pay half of their breakfast out of pocket. But wait, we didn't get that far, because when we arrived at 9 am at Ponte de Lago, we were told "it's at least a 2 hour wait". When I asked, okay, what are the options if we actually wanted the breakfast before lunchtime". Sorry - nothing. No room service, not even allowance in the market.
Let me remind you - this is a Park Hyatt??????

So yes I get it, some weekends are busy - but this is a 5-star hotel, I am not waiting in line for the buffet at the Holiday Inn Express. Build the hotel so you can serve your customers. Have enough wait staff so you can handle the capacity. If you have an issue like "we have no room at breakfast for you for hours " - try to find a solution.
I’m sorry to hear of your experience and thrilled I canceled my reservation due to needing to be Downtown for a function this weekend
Surprised to hear of a Park Hyatt that has no service solutions and comes across as a franchise limited service property of inferior execution of handling guests.

I have only two possible suggestions. One when a 5 star property or resort is failing which is rare in my own experience escalate to duty manager or front office manager where an exception might be made
Second call Hyatt Consumer Affairs and file a case so it’s known of the hotels failures if a solution isn’t reached prior. This helps all of us potentially
At the high cost of staying there you are owed a stellar experience within reason
regardless on points or revenue

Here at Manchester Grand not so grand and I would say the situation
is worse than The Park
Place is mobbed.Never again on a holiday weekend I’ll leave it at that
other than they have still gone out of their way with special requests under the circumstances.
