Let's not permit any of these hotels that attach "Bund" to their names to perpetuate the illusion that they are near the Bund. TMK, the only hotels that are on the Bund itself are the Peninsula, the Peace (currently branded as Fairmont), and the WA. Feel free to let me know if I've missed any.
I want to replug the Ren because I do think it wins over the Westin, but based solely on the subway station (having both lines 10 and 14 at your doorstep is really cool).
We seem to agree that the Portman's location is second to none in the Shanghai Marriott portfolio. And, it's often cheaper than the Westin, JW, W, etc.
