Definitely AS’s “problem” or unwillingness to check baggage through on separate tickets. I flew ANA in First on NRT-HNL recently. On a separate ticket was AS’s HNL-SEA. ANA was able to check my baggage through to SEA and print the boarding pass for the AS flight. Not the same alliance. Not even partners like AS and KE. Yet ANA was able to make it happen.
